The dentist and staff at Dr Veselinović’s office are very professional and do speak english. We had the first part of 3 implants performed in Mexico and the dentists here were very excellent at completing the implants. I felt very comfortable and relaxed in the chair. The needs of patients are diverse, so the number of visits to the dentist also varies. According to the condition of the mouth, teeth, gums and jaws, the frequency of controls is determined. The general recommendation for adults is to have a dental check-up every six months, while children are advised every three months.
Regular dental check-ups are used to prevent, diagnose and treat various problems: from caries and periodontopathy, through improper position of teeth and jaws, to sinus lifts, jawbone extensions and implant placement.
Regular and proper tooth brushing is the key to oral health. To that should be added the use of interdental floss and brushes, as well as disinfectant solutions for the mouth. In addition to daily maintenance of oral hygiene, a healthy diet and avoidance of tobacco, alcohol and coffee are especially important.
Oral hygiene is established from early childhood, that is, after the first incisors erupt. In most babies, they appear around the 6th month. Then the child should be taken to the first dental examination, where the parents will receive advice and instructions on how to take care of their oral health.
If you are suffering from a toothache, it is best to make an appointment with your chosen dentist right away. On that occasion, the cause of the toothache will be determined and a treatment method will be suggested. You should never try various “folk” remedies for toothache because serious complications can occur.
Swelling is a manifestation of some inflammation, infection, cyst and other diseases of the jaws and teeth. That is why it is of the utmost importance that you schedule a dental examination as soon as possible so that the cause of the swelling can be established and it can be repaired in a timely manner.
Displacement of the tooth from the alveolar cup occurs during trauma (a strong blunt blow during a fall or fight, in a traffic accident or in sports activities). In that case, you should immediately find the tooth, grab it by the crown (never by the root), soak it in warm water or milk (ideally in saline solution) and go to the nearest dental office.
The filling should be replaced with a new one as soon as possible because the longer you wait, the greater the probability that bacteria will penetrate inside the tooth, threaten its vital structures and cause numerous complications.
